Change in ideas- After looking on websites such as Vimeo, Youtube and Archive.org, I have been searching for suitable videos. I came across a change in ideas as well. I ended up finding that the fish were much more suited to a fast energetic pace rather than a horror like idea. This is because in the films they travelled in schools that gave a few cool ideas for the energetic type film.
Instead of having the fish for a freaky theme, I found the turtle to be a great fit instead. This is due to the turtle films I found and the type of animal it is.

MDDN 211- Finalizing the theme with Project 1
Finalizing the theme with Project 1- After discussing with my tutors my idea to go with animals, they discussed with me that it needs to be a bit more restricted and cut down a bit. After looking through all the animals I had listed on my brainstorm previously, I saw that there were a lot of water and sea based animals. This helped me decide the idea of heading with the theme "Under-water". I feel pleased with the idea of going with this particular theme as it is more cut down and has heaps of great options (not just limited to animals but ships, divers, boats etc).
I have also finalized my feelings I would like to show in my videos. One will be a scary or intense feeling, one will be a relaxed and smooth theme and the last will be a more energetic and fast paced theme.
Amongst the underwater objects that will show these particular themes, I have chosen the likes of a fish for the scary and horrific theme. I decided this because it will be a great contrast against a shark or stingray, which are generally the creatures that hold terror in the sea. My chosen animal for the second theme (A relaxed mood) there will be a jellyfish. I feel this is a great choice because a jellyfish is a smooth moving creature that displays a floating and airy movement that will match a soft sound well. My final choice, based on the underwater theme, is the idea of using a underwater ship/Submarine. I decided a turtle would be the fitting choice for the
From here I will be searching at creative commons audio and movies for my project and also some tutorials on using Adobe Premier on Lynda.com, google etc.
Below is a brainstorm of my process on finding what will be used in the theme "Under-Water".

MDDN 211- Brainstorming ideas for Project 1
Brainstorming ideas for Project 1- For project 1, I was originally stumped on a particular theme that I could use and was happy to go with. I was even more unsure when looking at the brief and seeing whether I was on the right track.
However after pulling my head together and seeing it was a simple case of mis-enterpretation, I began to start brainstorming ideas I could use for project 1. To source some inspirations that will help me, I immediately went to Youtube, Google and Archives.org. Most of the stuff on these sites are creative-commons, avoiding copyright issues etc (including audio on Archives.org)
After researching for quiet a while, I found that there were 2 themes that I could tell would be great to base my project on and create a feeling with it. They were Animals and Disasters. I have decided to go with animals. I felt that animals would be the best idea to go with because it had a larger variety of areas to explore and make a confirmed decision on.
Below is the first brainstorm on how I ended up making up my decision to focus on using animals to convey feelings in the videos I will make for this project. On the same brainstorm there is a tab that shows the feelings that I was looking at conveying with my videos.
